first post EVER!

laura and kate both grew up in downers grove, illinois.  aside from sounding like the desperately-in-need-of-prozac-version of grovers corners, downers grove is home to a quaint downtown area with a founders cemetery dating back to the mid 1800's, DGS high school, and a mini mall next to a white castle.

but i only wrote you that paragraph to get to this one:
hello kate this is laura and i tried to set up a blog page and make a post.  did it work? do you like the standard "dark dots" page layout? i went back and forth on it.  do i feel a sense of overwhelming accomplishment at having forged a closer friendship with the internet?

    The site looks awesome. You made a blog page, El! You are a participating member in the 21st century. And yes, I'm so down with the dots. I imagine we will have pictures to post eventually and you know what they say about dots.... they make pictures of Laura and Kate all the more beautiful. Pfa... as if that were even possible.
